2. Cry Out Behind Shattered Chains
Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron, because they rebelled against the words of God, and condemned the counsel of the Most High. Therefore he brought down their heart with labor. They fell down, and there was no one to help. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke away their chains.

Here sufferers draw near to death because of foolish decisions, yet when they cry to Yahweh, He sends His healing Word to rescue them from the grave.

4. Cry Out Amid the Raging Storm
Those who go down to the sea in ships, who do business in great waters, these see the LORD ’s deeds, and his wonders in the deep. For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up its waves. They mount up to the sky; they go down again to the depths. Their soul melts away because of trouble. They reel back and forth, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits’ end. Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distress. He makes the storm a calm, so that its waves are still. Then they are glad because it is calm, so he brings them to their desired haven.
Seafarers caught in an overwhelming tempest reach their wits' end. Upon crying to the Lord, He stills the roaring ocean and guides them safely into harbor.
Jesus rebukes the wind and waves on the Sea of Galilee, demonstrating His direct command over creation as the Lord of the storm.
Storms reveal the total insufficiency of human expertise. When ocean waves strip away human wisdom, sailors learn that safety rests not in their seamanship, but in the sovereign Lord who commands the winds.
